PHOTOS: You Won’t BELIEVE Tower of Terror’s Glow Up in Disney World

The very first day of Disney World’s 50th anniversary may be coming to a close, but the celebration will continue for the next 18 months! So, you have PLENTY of time to see it all!

Cinderella Castle as a Beacon of Magic

As we’ve been taking you around the parks with us all day, we’re hitting that time of the night where the sky goes dark and the icons light up. And, in honor of the huge 50th anniversary celebrations, each park will receive a “Beacon of Magic” as part of the transformation,.

To end our first full day at Disney World’s 50th anniversary festivities, we’re at Hollywood Studios ready to see the Hollywood Tower Hotel’s new look!

Beacon of Magic

What would usually be the eerie Hollywood Tower Hotel that’s home to the iconic Tower of Terror has now softened up with hues of purple, pink, and blue. The haunted hotel has instead turned into a beautiful icon that lights up the night!

And, you’ll be able to see this EARidescent icon every night at Hollywood Studios over the course of Disney World’s 50th anniversary celebrations!   1. Tower of Terror is Terrific! A huge congratulations to Disney for making this anniversary as spectacular as it is. No one saw a huge pandemic on the horizon; how it would impact the entire world. Disney’s world as well. I’m sure many of the planned changes would have been in place were it not for the setback. New attractions, restaurants, neighborhoods and improvements will just have to wait a bit longer. Our family is immensely happy that Disney is moving forward with optimism and visionary plans. We all desperately need to return to normal, to the familiar. That is the fabric that makes up our lives
