Today is the big day — Disney World’s 50th anniversary!

It’s hard to believe that “The Most Magical Place on Earth” is half a century old! And, it’s time to celebrate all the memories we’ve created over the past years while making more! Disney World has a lot of different things going on for the special day, and we’re here in the parks checking them out for you. There are new fireworks, restaurants, and more! A ton of new food items have also been added around the parks and hotels for the 50th (we mean literally over 150). And, a RARE Disney character has made an appearance on one of them!

Say hello to Uncle Orville’s Great Big Beautiful Tomorrow Sundae! Confused about who Uncle Orville even is? Well, let’s take a trip to one of the very first Disney World attractions!

Uncle Orville is the character you can find sitting in a bathtub on Walt Disney’s Carousel of Progress. You may know him from his famous (and only) line — “No privacy at all around this place!”

Ah, good ole’ Orville, always the jokester! Over at Auntie Gravity’s Galactic Goodies in Tomorrowland, you’ll find the themed sundae with chocolate and vanilla soft-serve, brownie pieces, hot fudge, whipped cream, and red, white, and blue sprinkles. You’ll want to forget about those kitchen sink sundaes for a moment, since this version is literally served in a bathtub as a nod to Orville’s moment of fame.

It’s pretty hard NOT to like Uncle Orville’s Great Big Beautiful Tomorrow Sundae with its mix of chocolate and vanilla flavors! The brownies and hot fudge add a little extra pizazz, along with the crunch from the sprinkles.

While this is a relatively simple treat compared to the other 50th anniversary items, the bathtub souvenir is such an AWESOME keepsake to use at home too! And, for the $16.99 price tag, we think it’s worth getting for the bathtub alone! Plus, you get a ton of ice cream too!

Of course, Uncle Orville isn’t the only star of the show as plenty of other treats feature fan-favorite Disney characters. We’ll be checking out more of the new 50th anniversary snacks and drinks around Disney World, so keep up with All Ears for more!
