PHOTOS: We’re Starting to See the First Signs of Disney’s Contemporary Resort Makeover!

It seems like almost all of Disney World has been under construction over the past few years, but the resort is getting all spiffed up and ready for the big 50th anniversary celebration.

We’ve also seen some hotels get makeovers — Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort has an all-new look, complete with Moana-themed rooms. And now, Disney’s Contemporary Resort is getting a major upgrade.

As of now, the resort is under a lot of construction — rooms in the main tower are currently closed because they’re getting a new Incredibles-themed look. And The Wave…of American Flavors restaurant is getting revamped and will soon become Steakhouse 71.

Lots of construction going on here

But that’s not all that’s changing at the Contemporary — today, we visited the hotel and discovered that the elevators in the hotel just got a brand new look.

Spiffy!

And part of that new look includes a cool graphic of the Monorail that runs through the resort.

The new design inside the elevators is sleek and modern, in keeping with the hotel’s “contemporary” theme.

Very modern

We’ve been enjoying seeing all the updates happening around Disney World for the 50th anniversary, and we’ll be sure to let you know when we spot more.
