The Tomorrowland Transit Authority PeopleMover has now been closed for over a year in Disney World, due to a refurbishment extended numerous times over the past few months.

However, in recent weeks we’ve caught the ride giving signs of life, and earlier this week, an announcement came that the PeopleMover’s closure would finally be ending this weekend!
We’ve been keeping eyes on the PeopleMover for months now hoping to catch it testing or to see actual riders on it. With the news that the PeopleMover would be reopening this weekend, we were thrilled!

We went to verify to see if there were hours posted on the Disney website, which would confirm that the ride would be operating. While there still weren’t any hours listed for Saturday or Sunday, we DID see hours showing up for this week starting Monday!

The Disney website currently shows the ride as being open from 8AM to 9PM all week, but if you need more positive vibes: there was a special guest testing out the PeopleMover this morning! It’s Stitch!
While this still isn’t a hard confirmation of when exactly the ride will be up and running, we know it’s going to be SOON! We will be keeping our eyes peeled over the next few days to make sure we let you know as soon as it’s coasting around Tomorrowland for real.
Heading to Disney World soon? Make sure you don’t get surprised by any ride closures!
