In the era of social distancing, mobile ordering is basically essential.

Ever since Universal and Disney reopened last year, they’ve both seriously focused and amped up their mobile order offerings and processes, but there’s one particular way we’ve found that Universal is winning at mobile order!
As a way to spread out crowds and prevent groups of hungry guests all clustered at once, Florida’s parks have done their best to prioritize mobile ordering like never before.

But as is the case with lots of new things, there have been some hiccups!

In Disney World, there are certain tricks you can use to mitigate any mobile order snafus, but there are still frequently long waits for picking up food, and some occasional confusion.

At Universal, however, they’ve got things down to a science! And it’s all about mastering the QR code.

Quick-service restaurants in Universal make it very easy, and very clear, to use the QR code on your phone to place an order and track its progress, too!

The well-marked codes are on tables, and you simply scan your phone, which brings you directly to the app to place your order.

It asks you where they should deliver your food, and you simply enter your table number.

All you gotta do is sit back and relax, while you can track your order process right in the app.

We recently tried this at The Simpsons Fast Food Boulevard, and it worked wonderfully and seamlessly!

When it comes to QR codes and Mobile Order, Universal is clearly ahead of Disney for now! Check back with us for more updates from both Disney and Universal!
