Mobile ordering is usually instantaneous and easy, but high capacity in the parks can change that! Inevitably, when a crowd of park-goers all order food at the same time, it’s going to cause a backup.

We experienced this first-hand at Disney’s Animal Kingdom, when Flame Tree Barbecue’s mobile ordering had a major backlog.

When we pulled up the mobile menu, the restaurant noted that there would be a wait until we could pick up our food.

Thankfully, there is a simple solution! Do not wait until you are feeling famished to order. While you are off riding attractions or walking around, open the MyDisneyExperience app ahead of time to see what the wait is like where you are planning to eat. If there is a long period of time until you can pick up your order, the restaurant is most likely busy!

Plan ahead! If you feel yourself starting to get hungry, check the wait times and order accordingly based on the wait. You may have to order 30 minutes before you usually would.
