The Disney theme parks have started to feel a lot busier lately.
We’ve seen wait times increase and a bit more crowds, but what was our day in Magic Kingdom like?
Crowds tend to be highest on the weekends, but this Friday was pretty busy. We started in Adventureland where the Pirates of the Caribbean queue looked very crowded. A Cast Member stood with an “End of the Line” sign so that guests knew where to get in line.
While the wait times are longer than they were at Disney World’s reopening, the lines look incredibly long because of the physical distancing markers.
We headed over to Frontierland where we saw queue that stretched out past the entrance. This is what the line looks like for Big Thunder Mountain at a 65 minute wait.
Over in Fantasyland, another attraction queue stood out to us. Peter Pan’s Flight is a popular attraction to begin with. Now with the spread out queue, it can look daunting to get in line for, however it does move pretty quickly because it is an omnimover attraction.
Throughout the day, walkways vary between congested and wide open. Near Pinocchio Village Haus, the walkway was fairly open. That being said, there was an extensive line of guests waiting to pick up their orders from the restaurant.
We continued to see overflowing lines in Tomorrowland at Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin…
…and over at Astro Orbiter. These queues utilized extra signs to help guide guests to the entrance of the line.
Throughout the park, many of the walkways looked a bit crowded. There are a few areas and times throughout the day where these areas are more open. With the parks selling out passes, it isn’t surprising to see the park look like this.
Overall, the Magic Kingdom did feel pretty busy, but it was apparent that guests and Cast Members were trying to maintain physical distance as much as possible. With Halloween passes filling up and limited park pass availability for the rest of 2020, we expect crowds until the holidays are over. Stay tuned for all news on Disney wait times and crowd levels!

We just returned. The lines look long but they move very fast as the social spacing is significant throughout the parks. Case in point, the Rite of Passage line extended almost to Festival of the Lion King and the wait was only 30-minutes.
