Although many beloved Disney locations have started to reopen again all around the parks and resorts, sometimes a few good things must come to an end in Disney World.

While we already know that three attractions will be closing in the parks, an ice cream shop chain may also be shutting its doors for good in Disney World too.

Attractions Magazine has stated that the Ample Hills Creamery locations in Disney World will no longer be opening. While Ample Hills already had an ice cream shop at Disney’s BoardWalk Inn, fans were looking forward to being able to grab a scoop in Disney Springs when another location opened this winter.

However, construction was delayed during the park closures. The BoardWalk’s Ample Hills also closed shop back in March without a reopening date (even though the resort has already currently opened again). The situation became more complicated when the Ample Hills company filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy on March 16th.

Although the Ample Hills’ website states that the BoardWalk location is only “Temporarily Unavailable” with the Disney Springs spot “Coming Soon,” Attractions Magazine reached out to a representative to confirm what would be happening with each of the stores.

A company spokesperson told them that “Prior to the acquisition, the Disney agreement with Ample Hills Creamery ended (back in January). As a result, Ample Hills will close at Disney’s BoardWalk and the proposed Ample Hills location at Disney Springs will not open later this year.”

It looks like we’ll have to say goodbye to Sally Sells Seashells and other Ample Hills flavors in Disney World. Although there are other great ice cream stops around the parks, we’ll miss visiting Ample Hills during our vacation! We’ll keep you updated with any more details!
