Disney just shared news that “Pixar’s Lucky Charm,” actor John Ratzenberger, is joining the new show Lightning McQueen’s Racing Academy in Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
Ratzenberger has contributed his voice talents to every Pixar Animation Studios feature film to date. He returned to the studio recently to voice Mack, McQueen’s truck, for the show, which is set to open at the end of this month.
During the high-energy show, we will come face-to-face with Lightning McQueen and also see and hear from his friends Mack, Cruz Ramirez, Tow Mater, and more.
Watch highlights of Ratzenberger’s recording session, and get a peek behind the scenes at the new attraction here:
Lightning McQueen’s Racing Academy creates an all-new story set in the world of Cars. When you enter the theater, Mack and Sally Carrera welcome all the rookie racers (you) and test your knowledge of Lightning McQueen as you take your seat and get ready for the show.
The show features many of the original voice talents from Disney•Pixar’s Cars 3 and other films in the franchise.
New signage for the show, which is set to open on March 31, was put into place just the other day, as seen above.
