This is another restaurant you won't find anywhere else! The cars are super cool, but may be challenging to sit in for larger guests, and it's very difficult to talk to anybody in your party who isn't sitting right next to you. It's really fun to watch the sci-fi trailers! The food is basically Applebees quality. It's not good, it's not bad, it just ... is. But also I'm not mad at an ok pulled pork sandwich and tater tots once in a while. The service was very slow when I was there - I think the kitchen got backed up, and we ended up having to take our dessert to go (RIP meal plan) and ate it while hightailing it to Fantasmic.

Pros:

Very cool theming - the kind of immersive experience you come to Disney for. Nothing too challenging for the palate.

Cons:

Meh food, slow service.

Service was the worst service I have ever received. We sat while everyone around us that arrived after us and placed their orders after us received their food. Waitress was not friendly not checked in to let us know what the delay was or apologize for the wait. I didn't leave a tip and made a point to write down no tip. Disney automatically charged a tip. I always leave a very good tip when it is deserved. This person did not deserve it.

Pros:

Food ok

Cons:

Service very slow, unfriendly staff person

My kids and my parents, in their 60's, loved it. They said the clips shown are from actual movies they saw as kids. However, my dad is a big guy and said the booth seating was a little restrictive. So maybe ask forbade regular table if this may be an issue for someone in your party. I thought the food was average. Not sure why it's so hard to get a reservation here as I think there are better places to eat. However I'm glad we did it, but wouldn't eat there again.

Pros:

Very unique atmosphere! Good food.

Cons:

Small booth seating. All of you are facing the same way and its hard to talk to your people.

I choose this restaurant for the theming and the decent food reviews. When I checked in 20 minutes prior to my reservation there was a pop-up on the screen which stated parties may be seated at a picnic table. Too late to cancel without penalty and definitely a bait and switch tactic. When our name was called the hostess asked our name and said 'oh I'm not doing this one' and walked over to another hostess saying 'you take this one I've done 3 already'. So yes we were led to a picnic table. Disappointing to say the least so I asked if we could wait for a car. The hostess walked over to another person, both shook their heads and she returned with a no. The picnic tables have backless benches for seating and our table had a benchless spot for wheelchairs. We snagged two chairs to place in the wheelchair spot which was close but much more comfortable. There was a speaker directly behind the table but the location takes you totally out of the theming. All wait staff walk between you and the screen when taking out food and clearing tables. They also chat back and forth so that is mostly what you hear and see. My sister and I are older adults so we got over it but the young family seated to our left at a picnic table was pretty upset (rightly so). Food (hamburgers and fries) was good and hot. My sister is gluten intolerant and they did a great job on her food. Our server was attentive and kept drinks refilled and checked up on us frequently.

Pros:

Good food, great with allergies, great wait staff

Cons:

No theming at picnic tables.

I chose this restaurant for its theming, but after reading the mixed reviews I was concerned about the food. I was pleasantly surprised how much I enjoyed my burger and fries! And the service was amazing! We were on our honeymoon, so the server called me Mrs.Bride and brought out some celebratory cupcakes at the end of our meal. And of course we enjoyed sitting in the car and watching some sci-fi clips!

Pros:

Fun theming, great service, good food

Cons:

Too dark to see your food

So much fun! The Sci Fi Theater was the perfect break from running around the park. We had milkshakes and cheeseburgers and they really hit the spot! The retro cars were lots of fun and we enjoyed watching the short films while eating. Lots of kids in the cars around us really seemed to enjoy their experience, which was great to see, especially since drive in movies are rare these days! The theater is exactly what you would expect and we look forward to going again on our next trip!

Pros:

Great break from the hustle and bustle of the park, really yummy burgers and milkshakes

Cons:

None

food is pretty typical, but good, diner food- burgers ect. You come here for the old black and white movies and commercials they play at the drive in! The atmosphere is so cute, and kids will especially think its awesome to eat while sitting in a car and watching TV. Make sure you request to sit in a car, though!

Pros:

theming!! (if you get to sit in a car)

Cons:

food is not special, can be busy, not all guests sit in a car

This place is neat at face value. You sit in old cars and eat burgers while watch c- sci-fi trailers from the 50s and 60s. The food is made to perfection. It's burgers and fries and really not much imagination behind it. so while everything tastes fine, you can get a burger anywhere in or out of Disney and probably get it better and cheaper.

Pros:

the theme is top notch and kids will love it. food is good.

Cons:

food is unimaginative and pricey.

To go here you are going for the experience and honestly, it is a one and done for us. We ate here for dinner on 10/15/21. We had reservations for 3 and we were seated promptly in a car that holds 6. The atmosphere is adorable and my 8 year old son especially loved watching the old movie clips. My husband and I each got a burger and my son got chicken tenders. They were just your average park burgers. Nothing exciting or special. The fries were cold. Were they worth the money? Probably not. But it was a cool experience, we tried it once and now we are done!

Pros:

ambiance, AC

Cons:

felt rushed, mediocre food

We waited almost 30 minutes past our reservation time to get into the restrant. we are on our honeymoon and I woke up at 2 am to book this reservation months in advance and I completely regret it. They sat us at a picnic table even though the reservation I made has a picture of the cars. they said there is no way we could wait for one even though 2 opened up right next to us within minutes! WAAAY too expensive for diner food at a picnic table. We where so excited and are so disappointed. cast members where nice enough just pushing stupid policy, people next to us disappointed too, no one wants those seats time to get rid of them.

Pros:

teeming great if you are lucky enough to not get bad seating

Cons:

You can get stuck eating overpriced dinner food on a picnic bench
