Big Thunder is one of our favorite rides! The theming is great, and it is good for all ages. My husband, who is not into rides, loves this one. Sitting in the back is by far the best, as you go much faster. This is a bit of a rough ride, which may not be good for some riders. The line tends to move quickly and there are some activities in the queue to keep you occupied if you don't have a fastpass.

Big Thunder is a great start for a vacation and for beginners on riding roller coasters. It doesn't have big drops, but goes fast enough to get your blood flowing. My child started on this ride when she was 6, and has loved it every since.
