This Canada Pavilion Restaurant Is About to Look Totally Different!

Big changes are coming to an EPCOT dining location, and fans of poutine are going to love it.

Traditional Poutine at Refreshment Port

For years, the Refreshment Port snack stand has been a mainstay for EPCOT guests heading to the Canada Pavilion, thanks to its offering of poutine, the staple from the Great White North made of French Fries smothered in beef gravy and cheese curds. However, the location closed for refurbishment with little warning this past January. Now we know why…

In April 2026, Disney confirmed that Refreshment Port is changing to La Poutinerie.

While Disney has released scant details, including no menu or opening date as of press time, we know the new spot — which will be sponsored by airline Air Canada — will bring “a Canadian classic with a twist.” Also, given the name and the long-time popularity of the spot’s poutine, it seems like a given that the iconic snack will be a major draw for the new location.

As for the physical transformation of the space, a Notice of Commencement permit was recently filed to install set elements, which is typically listed on permits when Disney is working on the exterior of a building or attraction. In addition, the contractor listed on the permit was Icarus Exhibits, which has worked with Disney in the past, including at EPCOT,  most recently on the new version of Test Track.

In addition to its everyday operations, Refreshment Port was also the longtime home of various specialty offerings during EPCOT’s festivals, including the Braised Beef Poutine during EPCOT’s Food & Wine Festival.

It remains to be seen if La Poutinerie will continue to serve this role, though it seems likely, or if any of these once seasonal event poutine flavors could become regular offerings.
