11 Rides I’m Baffled Don’t Exist in Disney World Yet

Disney World has some cool rides that we are totally fans of. Quincy often galavants around the parks doing ride challenges because of how much we love them. And soon we’ll have several brand-new rides to enjoy at three of the parks!

As much as we enjoy the rides at Disney World, we can’t help but have a bit of FOMO (fear of missing out) on all the amazing rides the international Disney parks have that we don’t. We’ve ridden so many of the rides around the world that we really wish they were right here in Florida so we can keep on enjoying them. Here are 11 rides we are baffled don’t exist in Disney World because we know they would be POPULAR.

Avengers Rides

Can we all agree that Disney World needs an Avengers land in Disney World like they have in the other parks around the world? Plus, now they’re doubling the size of the one in Disney California Adventure! An Avengers Campus at Hollywood Studios would just make sense. And if they built it, they could add these three super cool rides we wish we had. We know there are issues with contracts and Universal Studios. But we are still holding out hope that someday, we will get more Marvel characters and rides in Disney World.

Ant-Man and The Wasp: Nano Battle!

On this ride, you shrink down to the size of an ant, thanks to technology by Tony Stark. You then battle Hydra alongside Ant-Man and the Wasp to prevent classified S.H.I.E.L.D data from leaking.

Adding this ride to Disney World, along with a whole world of Marvel, would be epic! This ride is currently at Hong Kong Disneyland, but we would love to see it in Orlando.

Avengers Assemble: Flight Force

Avengers Assemble: Flight Force is located at Disneyland Paris. You “team up with Iron Man and Captain Marvel to help them save the world from an intergalactic threat.” You’ll board a new hypersonic vehicle and “blast off on an epic adventure full of thrilling twists and turns!”

Now imagine getting to ride that at Disney World! We’re seriously petitioning Disney to create a Marvel land in Florida.

Iron Man Experience

Also in Hong Kong Disneyland at Stark Expo is Iron Man Experience. You get taken through Stark Industries to see the groundbreaking technologies Tony Stark has developed to help save the world.

Iron Man Experience

First, you explore several exhibition halls, then you board your Iron Man Wing wearing your StarkVision glasses. In a full-motion simulator, you leave the park to tour Hong Kong. But beware, there are reports of Hydra in the city!

Exhibition at Iron Man Experience

We know that simulator rides are hit or miss with fans, but this one looks SO cool. Who doesn’t want to finally don an Iron Man suit and go flying around?!

Hyperspace Mountain

Space Mountain is a classic ride that Disney World does have, albeit it might break your back or at least give you a good cracking. The theme at the Disney World Space Mountain is the original theming — outer space, shooting through the stars in a rocket ship. But there is a far better version in Disneyland Paris and once a year at Disneyland in California.

Star Wars: Hyperspace Mountain takes the standard Space Mountain ride to epic standards. The story here goes, “Enlist in the Rebel Alliance and attend a briefing from Admiral Ackbar. Your mission – to pilot a reconnaissance vessel and spy on an Imperial Star Destroyer. ” Trust us, it’s super cool and makes the ride way more interesting.

Nothing about the ride changes other than a visual and audio overlay within the roller coaster. Disneyland in Anaheim adds it every year in May, making it seem like a simple switch over, so we’re SHOCKED that the ride hasn’t come to Disney World! We’re pretty sure it would be very popular, especially with Star Wars fans.

RC Racer / Rex’s Racer

We’re counting these two rides as one since they’re essentially the same ride with different names. These rides are thrilling, zip you back and forth along a massive U-shaped track. One is themed for RC (Paris) and the other for Rex (Shanghai), both from Toy Story.

@Shanghai Disney Rex’s Racers

These would have been a great addition in Toy Story Land next to Slinky Dog Dash! We love a Rex moment, and knowing Rex’s Racer exists makes us sad he didn’t get his time to shine at Hollywood Studios. Plus, this ride just looks like so much fun!

Wandering Oaken’s Sliding Sleighs

Within the new World of Frozen at Hong Kong Disneyland, you can ride Wandering Oaken’s Sliding Sleighs. This is the second of two rides in World of Frozen, along with Frozen Ever After (without scary animatronic faces).

WE LOVE IT

Wandering Oaken’s Sliding Sleighs is a small roller coaster that zooms through the rugged Arendelle landscape, where you’ll see cliffs, waterfalls, and more. We LOVED getting to ride the sliding sleighs while we were at the opening of World of Frozen, and ever since, we’ve been dreaming about them joining the Norway pavilion in EPCOT — if only there were room.

The Happy Ride with Baymax

Guys, this ride is ADORABLE. It has the same premise as Mater’s Junkyard Jamboree at Cars Land in California Adventure, but with Baymax, who we absolutely love. The cuddly blowup robot drives you around as upbeat music plays that is sure to make you happy.

So here’s why we’re baffled that this ride isn’t in Disney World: it would be PERFECT in Tomorrowland at Magic Kingdom to replace Tomorrowland Speedway. Sure, Tomorrowland Speedway is a classic ride, but it’s pretty outdated, and frankly, the smell of the exhaust is a bit of a turn-off. Instead of those smelly, outdated cars that go a max speed of 7 mph, we can all be HAPPY riding around with Baymax!

Tomorrowland Speedway

Plus, this would be IP-based, which is something Disney is really focusing on for its rides now.

Indiana Jones Rides

Tokyo DisneySea, Disneyland Paris, and Disneyland Resort all have Indiana Jones rides. In Paris, you can ride Indiana Jone and the Temple of Peril. At Tokyo DisneySea, jump on Indiana Jones Adventure: Temple of the Crystal Skull. And at Disneyland Resort in California, take a wild ride on Indiana Jones Adventure.

Indiana Jones at Disneyland

Up until recently, we’ve often wondered why there is no Indiana Jones ride at Disney World. These rides have always been super popular for the thrill and excitement they bring riders. But luckily, that is changing soon!

Disney announced that an Indiana Jones ride is coming to Animal Kingdom in the new Pueblo Esperanza Tropical Americas Land, and we’re pretty excited to see what theme this version will have.

Rapunzel’s Lantern Festival

Disney World has a gorgeous Tangled area within Fantasyland at Magic Kingdom. It has flowers, greenery, hidden Pascals, and the iconic suns everywhere. There is even the legendary tower where Rapunzel grows up. But you know what’s inside the tower? Nothing. And directly below it in a cute building of Corona? Not a ride or even a walk-through experience as you might expect. Nope. There’s a bathroom.

Tangled Bathrooms in Magic Kingdom

Over in Tokyo DisneySea, there is an AMAZING Tangled-themed ride called Rapunzel’s Lantern Festival. You get to go on a boat ride to experience the fun and iconic Lantern Festival of Corona and see the most enchanting scene from the movie: Rapunzel and Flynn sharing a moment under the lanterns. This ride was wonderful, and we just gotta know why in the world did Disney World get BATHROOMS instead of something like this?!

Crush’s Coaster

Duuude…we want this coaster in Disney World! Crush’s Coaster takes you inside and outside on a wild and exciting roller coaster. Imagine cruising the EAC (East Australian Current) with Crush, then getting thrown for a ride as you exit the current — that’s what this ride is like. You’ll get thrown up and down and all around.

In Disney World, we have a slow-moving Finding Nemo ride at EPCOT and a wonderful Broadway-style show at Animal Kingdom. And as much as we adore these two attractions, this roller coaster is what we imagined riding when we first watched Finding Nemo 23 years ago (yes, it’s that old already).

Zootopia Hot Pursuit

The new Zootopia land opened at Shanghai Disney Resort in December 2023. The new land includes the ride Zootopia Hot Pursuit, which is exclusive to this park.

You take a wild ride on a high-speed police chase through Zootopia with Officers Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde, and we’re surprised this new ride (and entire land) didn’t get added to Disney’s Animal Kingdom! We did get the new show in the Tree of Life Theater, Zootopia: Better Zoogether, but how cool would it have been to add a Zootopia land to the park to replace DinoLand, U.S.A.?

©Disney

But we are still very excited to walk through Pueblo Esperanza, and we’re sure Disney will make this a very fun experience for guests.

  1. Universal owns the copyrights east of the Mississippi for Marvel. As long as they pay the royalties Disney can’t have Avengers rides in Orlando. That’s why when Disney bought marvel they quickly announced West coast and international projects.
