Universal Orlando just dropped its 2026 calendar of events and It’s PACKED!

Universal Orlando has officially put 2026 on the map! Their latest announcement confirms the return of several major events (some expected, others long-awaited), giving Universal fans a rare early look at what’s coming. The lineup includes major fan favorites, milestone celebrations, and several returns that hadn’t been officially confirmed until now!
Universal Orlando just did something that theme park fans love: they dropped a massive batch of 2026 event dates all at once! With all of them being released together, you can officially start planning an entire year of trips built around seasonal events, limited-time celebrations, and fan-favorite festivals that go far beyond the everyday thrills.

Some of these events were expected. Others? Not announced until now. And it’s clear Universal is setting the tone for a very big 2026!
Let’s break down what’s coming.
A Full Year of Major Theme Park Events
The year kicks off with Rock the Universe, Florida’s biggest Christian music festival, returning to Universal Studios Florida on January 23rd and 24th. This long-running event combines live performances from top Christian artists with access to the theme parks, making it a unique weekend for fans of faith and music alike.

From there, the “good times” roll straight into Universal Mardi Gras: International Flavors of Carnaval, running February 7th through April 4th. During this vibrant celebration, you can expect colorful parade floats, tons of beads, live concerts on select nights, and a rotating lineup of global food booths inspired by both New Orleans classics and international cuisine. Mardi Gras remains one of Universal’s longest and most beloved seasonal events (not to mention one of OUR personal favorites), and its extended run makes it especially easy to plan around.

Later in the year, Universal has just confirmed something fans have been waiting to hear: Halloween Horror Nights is officially returning for its 35th anniversary year, running August 28th through November 1st! While details are still under wraps, this milestone year promises new haunted houses, scare zones, entertainment, themed food and drinks, and plenty of terror. The fact that these dates are now confirmed gives HHN fans a huge planning advantage.

Wrapping up the year (and spilling into early 2027), Holidays at Universal Orlando Resort will run from November 14th through January 3rd, 2027. Yep — that means Christmas in The Wizarding World of Harry Potter, Grinchmas, Universal’s Holiday Parade featuring Macy’s, festive decor across all 11 Universal Orlando hotels, and New Year’s Eve celebrations in the parks and CityWalk will be BACK for another festive-filled year to make your holiday season bright.
Wizarding World Celebrations All Year Long
That’s not all Universal’s cooking up this year! 2026 also marks the 25th anniversary of the first Harry Potter film, and Universal is celebrating with special limited-time offerings throughout the year in The Wizarding World of Harry Potter.

Wizarding fans can look forward to:
-
Butterbeer Season returning from March 1st – May 31st
-
Back to Hogwarts also returning between August 1st – September 1st
-
Dark Arts at Hogwarts Castle is also confirmed to return on select nights this fall, complete with castle projections and roaming Death Eaters (be still our bad guy-lovin’ hearts!)

Each of these events adds new treats, merchandise, and atmosphere—giving Potter fans multiple reasons to return throughout the year.
Passholder Perks, CityWalk Fun, and After-Dark Experiences
And that’s just Universal getting STARTED! Universal’s keeping the fun flowing by also confirming the return of Passholder Appreciation Days for their Universal Orlando Annual Passholders running August 15th through September 30th, with exclusive perks across the parks, hotels, and CityWalk.

Speaking of CityWalk, 2026 will bring themed parties, seasonal club overlays (hello Cursed Coconut Club and Dead Coconut Club!), major watch parties for events like the Super Bowl, Kentucky Derby, FIFA World Cup, and Winter Olympics, plus summer movie and music series.

And yes — one of the best after hours experiences you’ll get at Universal in Volcano Bay Nights has been confirmed to return as well! This exclusive, special-ticketed after hours event gives you the chance to enjoy Universal’s only water park after dark. And if the past years have been any indication of what’s to come, you can expect to boogie down with familiar characters, take on the waves of the beach and low-wait times for rides, complimentary and exclusive snack and drink options, and even upgrade your experience with a private cabana rental through the night. Universal has promised that more details are still to come for what lies ahead with this year’s event.
Even the Hotels Are In on the Fun
Oh, you thought they were stopped there? NOPE! Universal’s hotels aren’t sitting this year out either. From Harbor Nights at Portofino Bay to Velvet Sessions at Hard Rock Hotel, luaus at Royal Pacific, seasonal dining events, and even large-scale volunteer initiatives, there’s something happening on-property nearly every month to explore and be a part of.

What makes this announcement exciting isn’t just one event — it’s the entire scope. Universal isn’t teasing here and there; NO, they’re laying out an entire year of reasons to visit. Whether you’re a Halloween Horror Nights regular, a Wizarding World superfan, a Passholder, or someone who loves planning trips around festivals (like yours truly), 2026 at Universal Orlando is OFFICIALLY on the calendar!
