This NEW Free Disney World Souvenir Was the Best Part of My Day

A brand new souvenir experience has blasted off in Magic Kingdom!

As part of Disney World’s Cool Kid Summer, the Magic Kingdom’s Tomorrowland is hosting a Galactic Blast featuring a “space-inspired DJ dance party” with appearances from Stitch, and our topic today, indoor crafts inspired by the new Disney and Pixar film Elio in Merchant of Venus.

The highlight craft is an Elio postcard that gets sent to “space”!

Kids — or the young at heart — are given a postcard and stickers to decorate, which is then placed inside a machine to “send” it to space. The card then “returns” (IE, comes out of the machine) with a space delivery seal pressed into it, making the card a really fun souvenir.

The space-themed craft is fitting for the film, which focuses on “Elio, a space fanatic with an active imagination” who “finds himself on a cosmic misadventure where he must form new bonds with alien lifeforms, navigate a crisis of intergalactic proportions and somehow discover who he is truly meant to be.” This seriously was a highlight of our day!

The Madeline Sharafian, Domee Shi, and Adrian Molina-directed film stars the voices of Yonas Kibreab, Zoe Saldaña, Remy Edgerly, Jameela Jamil, Brad Garrett, Shirley Henderson, Matthias Schweighöfer, and Brandon Moon, and is scheduled for release on June 20th.
