Decoding Disney’s MYSTERIOUS New Celebrity Announcement

We’ve got a case to crack. Disney has been known to share some mysterious information online, and it’s often left up to us to figure out what they’re saying. We’ve got a blank whiteboard and a red marker. We’re ready to start connecting the dots.

Before we dive in, we should probably tell you a little about our history as amateur Disney detectives. We’ve picked up on subtle clues in the parks that indicate new things are coming soon. We’ve dissected trailers to find all the easter eggs hidden in plain sight. We’ve even gone over Disney concept art with a fine-toothed comb to see what we can learn about Imagineers’ plans. Now, we’re back to analyze something NEW!

If you’re not following @mickeymouse on Instagram, you totally should. Why? Well, first of all, it’s Mickey. But second, you never know what Mr. Mouse might share! Case and point? His latest Instagram post! The video shared by @mickeymouse featured a pop-rock-style song. In the audience, we see Mickey, Donald, and Goofy jamming out to the music!

Now, that video alone might not seem too mysterious. But read the caption. It says, “Something magical is coming. Find out on July 12.” What could THAT mean?!

Oh, and here’s where things get interesting.  We spotted a response from @simpleplan hidden in the comments. Their comment says, “Hmmm… sounds familiar.”

If you’re curious, Simple Plan is known for songs like “I’m Just a Kid” and the ICONIC “What’s New Scooby Doo” theme song.

The band is also a BIG fan of Disney, as you can see. In fact, they’ve even performed LIVE at previous EPCOT festivals! Most recently, they played during the Garden Rocks Concert Series earlier this year.

Now, back to the case at hand. VERY recently, the band posted a TikTok from Disney World. The caption reads, “Jeff’s really been feeling the love for the Lion King lately… There must be a reason 🤔👀.”

Could this have something to do with the post shared by @mickeymouse?! We think so! Does this mean Simple Plan is returning for the Eat to the Beat Concert Series in EPCOT? Are they celebrating the Lion King‘s 30th Anniversary?! WHAT DOES THIS MEAN?!

We have a lot of questions, but hopefully, they will be answered soon. If Mickey Mouse’s teaser is right, July 12th might be a good day to log into Instagram and look for some news. We’re counting on ya, Mickey!
