Disney gave us a sneak peek at some new characters coming to Tiana’s Bayou Adventure on March 26th, 2024!

Each and every time Disney announces something new for the upcoming ride, we get super excited. The ride is set to open in Disney World this summer. Since we’re at the end of March, we have been keeping a very close watch on all things Tiana’s Bayou Adventure. We get a little jolt of nerves every time there’s a new detail revealed, hoping that it’s the opening date. Well, now the internet is starting to have some theories based on the concept art that was just released for the new Bayou band.
The animals that will be in the band, which we’ll see on the new log-plume ride, are all-new characters that we’ve never met before. Disney introduced us to them by sharing their names and the instruments they’ll be playing, and they gave us a closer look at the process of creating them.
There’s Byhalia the beaver, Rufus the tortoise, Apollo the raccoon, Gritty the rabbit, Timoléon the otter, and Beau the opossum.

We can’t wait to hear the songs they’ve been cooking up for us! Which brings us to this new theory that’s all over the internet — what if Disney hid a clue about WHEN we’ll finally get to meet these guys in person in the concept art of them?
Let’s take a close look at the picture of Gritty. Gritty is holding a license plate, presumably his form of “instrument.” And if you look real closely, you’ll see the license plate has the letters and numbers LA23 52872.

We’re firm believers that Disney does not do anything randomly and typically has a purpose when they create things. They also like to throw Easter eggs and nod to specific things. So is it possible that this group of letters and numbers means something? The internet has a theory that LA is Louisiana — the most logical thing here since that is where Tiana’s Bayou Adventure and movie take place. But that’s not where this theory stops.

Then, perhaps the 23 is the year the animals were designed? But what about 52872? Here’s the guess (and it’s ONLY a guess at this point): could we expect an opening date announcement or even previews of the ride on May 28th (5/28) and then an opening date of July 2nd (7/2)?
We don’t know as there has not been any confirmation by Disney, but this does remind us a lot of the time Disney put a code in the TRON announcement. Remember this?

As we said, Disney has not confirmed anything about these dates or this suspicion. At this point, this is just a theory. It seems like we’ll just have to wait to find out!
