Happy holidays from Disney World!

Over the past few weeks, we’ve seen holiday celebrations, seasonal decorations, limited-time snacks, and all kinds of other special offerings pop up around Disney World. And over Thanksgiving break, we saw pretty heavy crowds as people flooded the parks to experience the best of the season. But now that we’re between Thanksgiving and Christmas, what do the crowds look like? We’re sharing our experience!
We first visited Hollywood Studios this morning, where the crowds were fairly heavy most of the day. We ran into quite a few people at the front of the park, and then Sunset Boulevard was relatively crowded, even though both Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster and Tower of Terror were closed at one point.

After that, we hopped over to Magic Kingdom in the afternoon. The crowds were a bit more manageable here. Although, there was a pretty hefty 95-minute line for Splash Mountain — Disney just announced the ride will be closing on January 21st to transform into Tiana’s Bayou Adventure.

And speaking of wait times, let’s take a look at them, shall we? Around 3:30PM, we noticed that not a single ride in Disney World had more than a 2-hour wait, and many of them were much lower wait times than usual.

You could get on Kali River Rapids or Mission: SPACE in just 10 minutes…

…and even Flight of Passage was only 45! Other rides that clocked in below an hour? Na’vi River Journey, Soarin‘, and Toy Story Mania.

A few rides were somewhere between an hour and 90 minutes, including Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster (which was back up by the afternoon), Frozen Ever After, Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway, and Rise of the Resistance. That’s surprising that Rise of the Resistance isn’t at the top of the list!

Jingle Cruise took the top spot with 120 minutes even and two rides were closed during the afternoon — Big Thunder Mountain Railroad and Seven Dwarfs Mine Train. Hopefully they won’t be down long!

So despite the parks being fairly crowded today and multiple ride closures, we seem to have some pretty decent wait times on our hands! We’ll continue to monitor the crowds throughout the holiday season and keep you updated.
