NEWS: A Disney's Contemporary Resort Restaurant Will Close for a LONG Refurbishment!

We’ve been keeping track of quite a few construction projects going on in Disney World recently!

Construction walls are just part of the Disney experience sometimes!

Over in the Magic Kingdom, Disney is working on renovating the Main Street Confectionery and EPCOT is undergoing an entire transformation with new rides and shops. Plus, the construction even extends outside of the parks and now a Disney World Resort hotel restaurant is set to close soon for refurbishment.

According to Disney World’s website, The Wave…of American Flavors at Disney’s Contemporary Resort will close on July 16th and be unavailable throughout the summer as they “refurbish this space in time for the 50th anniversary of Walt Disney World Resort.”

This will add to the refurbishments that are already going on in the deluxe resort, as refurbishment began on the guest rooms just last month.

Construction is currently underway on some guest rooms

Disney has not yet shared when the guest rooms and The Wave are expected to reopen but we will continue to keep an eye out for updates. For now, you can still book reservations at the restaurant through July 15th. And, as always, stay tuned for the latest Disney news and updates!
