Disney has been working to make sure that everything is in tip-top shape for when the Walt Disney World 50th Anniversary celebrations kick-off this year.

Cinderella Castle in Magic Kingdom and Spaceship Earth in EPCOT have been getting a makeover and some classic rides have even gotten a special golden touch. And, Disney has been working on a big update to a popular place to grab a sweet treat in Disney World.
The Confectionery on Main Street, U.S.A. in Magic Kingdom closed at the end of March for a major refurbishment and, it looks like the renovations will be going on well into the summer. According to Disney’s refurbishment calendar, the Main Street Confectionery will be closed through at least July 17th, 2021.

We say “at least” because the calendar is only updated through the date that they have released park hours.

Once open, the Main Street Confectionery will feature an updated layout and have “interactive opportunities” to personalize all the sweets and treats you can find in the shop!

In the meantime, many of the iconic treats from the bakery have been relocated to the Emporium and Main Street Cinema, so you can still get your sugar fix! We’ll continue to keep an eye out for updates on the sweet shop and other projects around Disney World so stay tuned for the latest!
