Earlier this year, Disney announced that they would be making a big update to what may be the punniest Disney ride there is — Jungle Cruise.

The changes are coming to both attractions in Magic Kingdom and in Disneyland Park, and, while the dad jokes will remain, the plot is thickening and Disney is introducing new characters and twists on classic scenes to the ride. We’ve already stumbled upon some missing elements in the ride as Disney makes way for the updates, and today we spotted another change of scenery!
For many years, the Jungle Cruise Skipper has been telling guests the tale of the party they invited all of their friends to, just to find that no one had shown up ashore. And, as you passed by the scene of the “party,” all you could spot were canoes and spears with skulls on them.

But, it looks like even the spears and skulls have dipped out! Today, on the ride, we noticed that they were missing from the scene, though the canoes and other elements are still there.

So, now we’re missing Trader Sam, the pole with all the travelers, AND the spears and skulls. Disney is certainly up to something! We’ve already seen a preview of what the new Trader Sam scene and the scene with all the travelers will look like, but Disney hasn’t shared much about what’s to come here.
And, if you’re in the mood for more punny jokes and insider tips on Disney’s Jungle Cruise, you can ride through the attraction before all the refurbishments started below!
