REVIEW: Captain Hook FINALLY Gets The Appreciation He Deserves on the Disney Adventure!

We seriously can’t believe that we’ve set sail on the Disney Adventure — someone’s got to pinch us! We’re making sure we’re doing all that the ship has to offer, and that includes eating EVERYWHERE.

Right now, we’re immersing ourselves in a pirate’s life at the Buccaneer Bar. This is a pirate-themed bar themed after Captain Hook from Disney Animation’s classic Peter Pan, ând we were SO hoping it would live up to all our expectations. Fortunately, it absolutely did!

The Buccaneer Bar is located on Deck 6, across the way from the Marvel Style Studio.

Inside, you’ll find the main bar area for lounging, but there are also two private “Captain’s Quarters” areas available as well.

We got to step into both areas, and we have to say, we’re impressed by the amount of seating inside this relatively small space, and it doesn’t feel too overcrowded!

We loved all the small details throughout the bar as well, so trust us when we say you’ll want to take time to explore! One of our personal favorites was the book titled “Beyond the Second Star.”

The menu itself looks like a large leather-bound journal, which we were immediately obsessed with.

Inside, you’ll find a selection of drinks, including Sake and Zero Proof options, among others.

We decided to grab the Dead Man’s Chest for $25, which is an experience meant for two people. These drinks are made with Zacapa XO Rum, Pineapple, Lime, Agave, and Coconut Froth. It came out in the COOLEST chest, where dried ice smoke poured out when we opened it!

The drinks themselves also sit in a red light, which makes them glow menacingly. As for the taste of the drink, the coconut froth was a real standout, as it was light, creamy, and sweet, without being overpowering. The drink itself was your classic beach drink, meaning it was fruity with that classic rum taste. If you know this is your style of drink, it’s totally worth it!

Our experience at the Buccaneer Bar makes us think that maybe a pirate’s life really is for us, and we think it’s absolutely a spot everyone should check out, even if it’s just to look around.
