We recently set sail on the brand-new Disney Adventure cruise ship, and we’re taking you along with us!

The Disney Adventure is the first Disney Cruise Line ship to sail out of Singapore and will sail throughout Southeast Asia. We’ve made our way around the ship, checking out all there is to see and do — and right now, we’re bringing you a look at the Pixar Market Restaurant!
Pixar Market Restaurant is themed around the art and artists from Pixar Animation Studios. Breakfast and lunch are buffet-style, but the restaurant becomes a table service spot for rotational dining for dinner. You can expect to find dishes here like:
- Shiromaru with tonkotsu pork broth, egg noodles, pork belly chasu, sesame kikurage mushrooms, bean sprouts, menma, and spring onions
- Green Papaya Salad with long beans, chili, and grape tomatoes with palm sugar lime dressing
- Lemon Thai Basil Tart with lemon curd, Thai basil whipped ganache, Swiss meringue, and raspberry sauce is a must.

This restaurant is a celebration of ALL things Pixar, and it really shows throughout all the decor — from the artwork on the walls…

…to the eyes that are always watching (IYKYK).

We visited this restaurant for the breakfast buffet and are bringing you our full review! This buffet has quite a wide variety of dishes, ranging from what you think of your typical American breakfast, like waffles and scrambled eggs…

…to foods that are more typical of Asian breakfast items, including congee, noodles, and more.

We tried a little bit of everything, starting with the Mickey Waffles!

These were warm with that classic vanilla flavor typical of Mickey Waffles, but they were a bit undercooked — which is something we ran into a few times on this ship. They didn’t have that nice, crispy exterior you might expect from Mickey Waffles, but they still tasted great!

Next up, we tried the Congee. This was SO warm and comforting, almost like a savory oatmeal or rice pudding. There was a ton of chicken in it, and there were several different options, so you could dress it up however you wanted — we went with green onions, chili oil, fried garlic, and ginger. It was a savory breakfast lover’s dream and we really enjoyed it.

We also tried the Miso Soup, and we really appreciated this as a breakfast option. This was another dish that you could dress up however you wanted, so we added green onions, tofu, and cilantro for additional flavor. It was nice and salty, exactly how you’d expect miso soup to be.

We grabbed some Sautéed Mushrooms, which were nicely cooked and earthy. They had some crispiness on the outside but were still tender. Flavor-wise, they weren’t anything special — they pretty much just tasted like mushrooms!
Next, we had some classic bacon, which was VERY floppy. We’ve found this to be the case with most Disney bacon. If you like yours floppy, this is definitely for you. Crispy bacon lovers will probably not love this.

We picked up some Blue Coconut Rice as well, and we are so glad we did! The rice was perfectly cooked — nice and fluffy but not sticky. It wasn’t overcooked, and there was a subtle coconut flavor that made it slightly sweet. We could have eaten a lot more of this!
The Asparagus was, well, asparagus. It had a nice snap to it that we appreciated, but it could have used more flavor!
