“I Find Myself Missing the Magic.” Fans Share Their Biggest Disney World Red Flags for 2026

When it comes to Walt Disney World, even the “Most Magical Place on Earth” has some red flags that can have an impact on your vacation.

We recently took to our Facebook page to ask out readers – some of the biggest Disney fans around – “What do you think is the biggest RED FLAG for Disney World in 2026?” As you can imagine, we received a litany of responses. These were some of the highlights.

Let’s begin with construction. Countless readers brought up the major projects happening at Walt Disney World right now – including Piston Peak at Magic Kingdom, Monsters, Inc. at Hollywood Studios, and Tropical Americas at Animal Kingdom – and maze of construction walls and detours that go along with them.

The next most popular topic of red flag discussion was prices. As you can imagine, some of these responses were… um… a but testy. However, reader Dawn took a different approach, writing “What they have done is absolutely incredible. I just have to applaud the imagineers, cast members, and everyone that has given countless hours to make the park what it is. I know cost can be a barrier but unfortunately it has to be in this economy. I look at the construction, updates, meticulous details, and you see where the money is going.”

However, while Dawn was more understanding of prices then most, they did bring up their own Disney red flags, writing, “As a mom of 3 who needs Disney as an outlet, I would love to see a way that I’m less reliant on my phone and able to be in the experience more. I spend so much time trying to fight the virtual queues, booking next Lightning Lane, that I find myself missing the magic.”

Intellectual Property (IP) was another major topic, as several readers called out Disney’s seeming reliance on IP as a modern red flag. Reader Noah wrote, “IP is fine, but I don’t think that everything needs to be based on existing franchises. The Imagineers should be allowed to create rides based on new stories and original concepts”, while Travis added a more concise “Conflating IP with theming.”

There were also some more – ahem – specific complaints. For example, reader Shirley called on Disney to “honor and respect” senior citizens. They opined, “We are in our lower 70’s and still love coming to Disney. We have been coming with our children and grandchildren since our oldest was 3 years old. We now have 2 great grandchildren. It sure would be nice if they had good senior discounts. They have made enough money on us over the years that a discount would sure help.”

Reader Shezza called out a specific segment of Disney’s food, writing, “As a vegetarian, I have to say it’s the ‘plant based’ offerings. Not all of us are Vegan, indeed lots of vegetarians don’t like Vegan food. We like real cheese and eggs for breakfast not some weird quinoa salad”…

… while reader Ryan took aim at retheme, writing “Aerosmith not being a part of (Rock ’n’ Roller Coaster) anymore. The first CD I ever owned was Devil’s Got a New Disguise around the time it came out and I’ve been a fan of Aerosmith ever since.”
