Why You’ll Always Find Me in EPCOT’s Italy Pavilion at 3 PM

Picture this: It’s 3:00 PM, and you’ve been in EPCOT all day. You rope-dropped in the morning and scored your favorite song on Cosmic Rewind (yes, “Everybody Wants to Rule the World” is the right answer), then hit most of the other attractions in the front of the park before making your way to World Showcase for the rest of the day.

The only issues? You’re hot, the park is crowded, and you need to decompress, or you’re not going to make it to the 9:00 PM showing of Luminous!

The cozy lounge offers a shady, air-conditioned respite from the hustle, bustle, and — during the summer season anyway — heat of the park.

Plus, if you find yourself unable to choose one wine, you can sample from a wine flight. Tutto Gusto currently offers three options:

  • Under a Tuscan Sun, featuring Chianti Terre di Bacco, Tageto Donna Olimpia, Tre Brancaia for $26.00
  • Crisp Italian Whites, featuring Sauvignon Terre di Bacco, Pecorino Il Feuduccio, and Gavi Batasiolo for $22.00
  • From the Hills of Piemonte, featuring Gavi Batasiolo, Dolcetto d’Alba Batasiolo, and Langhe Nebbiolo Terre di Bacco for $26.00

Of course, you’ll need something to pair that midday drink with, which is where the lounge’s menu of mega yummy Italian bites comes in. Guests can nibble on a selection of Taglieri — meats & cheeses — including:

In addition, there’s a menu of Assaggi D’Italia appetizer-like dishes, including Calamari Fritti served with Marinara Piccante for $23.00, Tortino di Melanzane AKA baked eggplant parmigiana, pomodoro, mozzarella, parmesan for  $19.00, an $11.00 order of Polpette Parmigiana (baked meatballs served with pomodoro, mozzarella, and parmesan, Penne Arrabbiata pasta for $16.00, and olive oil marinated artichokes for $11.00 amongst other dishes. In other words, there’s something for every palate and to pair with every possible drink on the menu.
