A big change is coming Magic Kingdom’s way and changing the way we dine at Disney World!

Magic Kingdom is in for one heck of a transformation in 2026. The construction of the new Piston Peak and Villains Land areas is such a big deal that you’d be forgiven for forgetting about dining changes happening in the park, as well. Speaking of which, one major Magic Kingdom restaurant change is on its way, and we’re wondering how the menu will be affected.
It was recently revealed that Cool Kid Summer is returning in 2026 and bringing with it the BRAND-NEW Jessie’s Roundup at The Diamond Horseshoe!

This summer event — which officially runs from May 26th to September 8th, 2026 — will see The Diamond Horseshoe transform into a “rootin’ tootin’ good time” where you can meet characters like Jessie, Woody, and other Toy Story friends.

With the character meet-and-greet coming to the location, this had us wondering what’s going to happen to The Diamond Horseshoe’s menu. Will the restaurant even have a menu during this summer event?

While Disney has yet to release official information on the change and the menu fallout, we reached out to a Cast Member, and they suggested that while it won’t be a traditional dining setting, Jessie’s Roundup will serve a meal or a dinner show, “similar to past events” in the space. The Cast Member said that Jessie’s Roundup will also feature “traditional-style food” similar to what the Diamond Horseshoe already serves, like turkey, pot roast, and more.
At this point, it seems like the menu isn’t changing — at least not vastly — during this Jessie overlay. The Diamond Horseshoe shares the same menu as Liberty Tree Tavern, right next door, and offers up family-style portions of American classics that pay homage to big Thanksgiving feasts.

As a reminder, Disney has yet to OFFICIALLY confirm or deny this, but we’ll let you know as soon as it says something.

Cool Kid Summer will also feature Bluey and Bingo in Disney’s Animal Kingdom, GoofyCore at CommuniCore Hall, Disney Jr. Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Live!, and more summer offerings.
