4 Ride Changes Hit Disney World Next Month

We can’t believe we’re saying this, but 2025 is coming to an end, and 2026 is just around the corner. Which means everyone’s planning for their 2026 Disney World vacations!

If you’re planning to start the new year off at Disney World, there are a couple of ride changes you should be aware of that will happen in January. Let’s take a look at what’s going to look different next month!

Jungle Cruise

We’re stopping in Magic Kingdom first to check out the World Famous Jungle Cruise. During the holiday season, the Jungle Cruise gets a festive overlay, changing the ride to the Jingle Cruise.

The Jingle Cruise

It’s essentially the same as Jungle Cruise, but it has a holiday theme to it. You’ll find holiday decorations all over the attraction and its queue, and the boats have been renamed to holiday-esque ones. Also, the jokes are Christmas-themed!

We love the Jingle Cruise

The regular version of the iconic attraction will return on January 3rd, 2026, so you only have a couple more weeks to enjoy the Jingle Cruise for the holidays!

Living With the Land

Speaking of ride overlays for the holidays, let’s move over to EPCOT to see when Living With the Land will change. During EPCOT’s Festival of the Holidays, Living With the Land gets a gorgeous holiday touch, changing the ride to Glimmering Greenhouses.

Glimmering Green Houses!

Glimmering Greenhouses adds a holiday overlay to the iconic boat ride by giving the greenhouses dazzling lights, holiday decor, and more. It’s our favorite EPCOT ride during Christmastime, and it’s extra special at night!

It’s really pretty!

The regular version of Living With the Land will return after the festival ends on December 30th, so you still have some time to enjoy it in all its glory!

Journey Into Imagination

Staying in EPCOT, everyone’s favorite purple dragon is going back to his normal look. It’s a smaller change, but during the holidays, Figment, on the Journey Into Imagination attraction, gets a fun blue and white winter sweater. It’s so iconic that Disney started selling it in stores!

We usually see Figment put his sweater away with the rest of the Christmas decorations around EPCOT.

There he is!

Frozen Ever After

Lastly, a HUGE chance will be coming to Frozen Ever After at EPCOT in January. On January 26th, 2026, the popular attraction will close as Disney Imagineering gets ready to change the faces of the animatronics.

Frozen Ever After

As you know, the audio-animatronics of Kristoff, Elsa, and Anna all use 3D projections for their faces. Disney will be closing the ride to give the characters new fluid animatronic faces, and we can’t wait! The ride is expected to be closed until February 2026, with no official opening date. Just be prepared for one of EPCOT’s most popular attractions to be unavailable at the end of next month.
