BREAKING: DATE Revealed for Permanent Closure of 2 Disney World Restaurants

DinoLand U.S.A. is officially closing on February 2nd, 2026, but we’ll have to say goodbye to a few restaurants this month.

It was just revealed that Disney’s Animal Kingdom is closing two of its restaurants permanently and one temporarily in October 2025, and we’ve got all the details.

Half of DinoLand has been a construction zone for a few months now, but to continue the progress of Pueblo Esperanza, Disney is closing Trilo-Bites and Dino-Bite Snacks on October 20th. That means that the last day to stop by these snack spots is October 19th.

Also, Disney previously announced that Harambe Market would serve items like burgers and chicken strips to make up for the closure of Restaurantosaurus. Now, we know that Harambe Market will temporarily close on October 20th so that Disney can get the restaurant ready to make this style of food.

Harambe Market will be closed through the rest of 2025 and reopen in early 2026. It will likely open before or on February 2nd, as that is when Restaurantosaurus is set to close, but we’ll have to wait and see for an official date.

So what is happening to the ice cream? Or how about those Buffalo Chicken Chips we all know and love? Disney must know how much they mean to parkgoers, because they are moving to other restaurants.

The Buffalo Chicken Chips from Trilo-Bites will be available at Eight Spoon Cafe on Discover Island. Hooray!

Soon, a variety of DOLE Whip floats will be available at Warung Outpost in Asia.

It has been confirmed that hand-scooped ice cream will return to the park in February. We haven’t seen the beloved ice cream sandwiches from Dino-Bite Snacks pop-up on any menus yet, but we’re hoping Disney will bring those back, too! In the meantime, we do know some of the best spots to grab a cold treat, and those are the Anandapur Ice Cream Truck (where a new hand-dipped Mickey bar just debuted!) and Tamu Tamu Refreshments (DOLE Whip, anyone?).

Also, Kusafiri Bakery in Africa will be open for lunch! Head there to check out items like the Harambe Chicken Rice Bowl (one of our current favorites at Harambe Market).

It’s no secret that Disney’s Animal Kingdom is going through a bit of growing pains right now…but these kinds of changes are what Walt Disney envisioned for his parks.

Pueblo Esperanza is the land replacing DinoLand, and it will feature a new Indiana Jones-themed attraction, an Encanto-themed attraction, a carousel, new restaurants, and more.

We’ve been watching the cranes and the construction progress as we can, but it’s going to be a little while until we see the entire land come to life. It is scheduled to open sometime in 2027.
