NEW Changes Coming to TWO Animal Kingdom Restaurants in Disney World

There is so much happening in Animal Kingdom right now, from the new Tropical Americas land, Pueblo Esperanza, being built, and all the closures for DinoLand U.S.A. We have to add ANOTHER spot to the list of closures you might encounter during your visit.

This time, we’re heading away from attractions and seeing a new refurbishment listed for one of our favorite food spots in the kingdom.

Harambe Market will temporarily close this winter and is expected to reopen in early 2026. This quick-service restaurant is our secret spot for filling bowls and fun desserts while we’re in the Africa area of the park.

According to Scott Gustin on X, with Restaurantosaurus closing on February 2nd, the menu items from this DinoLand spot will move to Harambe Market in 2026, which has led to this refurbishment.

With Restaurantosaurus closed as of Feb. 2, its menu items will move to Harambe Market in early 2026. To get ready for the new menu items, Harambe Market will close for refurbishment this winter. Specific dates will be shared later.

We hope we’ll be able to find our favorite burgers, chicken strips, and hot dogs moving over to Harambe Market!

We can’t forget the milkshakes and fun lemonades, too. One thing we know won’t move over is Restaurantosaurus’s expansive indoor seating. If we’re taking a break in Animal Kingdom, we were probably here listening to a Dino Institute Intern singing a song.

Harambe Market only has outdoor seating, so we’ll have to wait for Pueblo Esperanza to be built for more indoor seating. The land doesn’t open till 2027, so we have a while before we get there.
