ALERT! Park Pass Rules Are CHANGING in Magic Kingdom SOON

Park pass reservations are a thing of the past for most Disney World visitors, but if you’re an Annual Passholder, you still have to make reservations if you’re visiting before 2 PM and if it’s not a Good-To-Go day.

However, there’s a BIG change coming to park pass reservations later this month, and it’s all because of the NEW nighttime parade coming to Magic Kingdom. If you’ll be visiting soon as an AP, here’s what you need to know!

Currently, Annual Passholders can visit the theme parks without a theme park reservation on a Good-To-Go day or after 2 PM, unless it’s a Saturday or Sunday at Magic Kingdom. On July 20th, though, the date the new Disney Starlight: Dream the Night Away parade debuts, everything changes.

For a limited time on and after July 20th, Annual Passholders will be able to enter EPCOT, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and Disney’s Animal Kingdom theme park after 2 PM without a theme park reservation. However, due to anticipated high demand for the new parade on July 20th, 20,25 and after, ALL Passholders visiting Magic Kingdom must have a park pass reservation, no matter what time they plan to visit.

Blockout dates still apply if you’ve got a Disney Sorcerer Pass, Disney Pirate Pass, or Disney Pixie Dust Pass, but Disney Incredi-Pass (the highest tier) does not have any blockout dates.

With this new change, we suggest making that Magic Kingdom park pass as early in advance as you can! Thankfully, it’s currently still allowed that you could make a park pass reservation for a different park, then hop into Magic Kingdom as long as it’s not full, but you may not want to rely on that if you’re determined to get in on a certain day.
