We just spotted something brand-new at Magic Kingdom recently!
If you’ve been to the Magic Kingdom lately, we’re willing to bet you missed this new yet subtle detail that was just added to the outside of the Haunted Mansion. If you did we don’t blame you, it can be pretty easy to miss if you aren’t looking for it.
It looks like the 999 happy haunts over at the Haunted Mansion are getting some home improvements outside their front gate! We were taking a stroll through Liberty Square when we noticed the upgrades to the area.
To find the new detail, you’re going to have to look down — all the way down. There’s brand-new flooring outside the Haunted Mansion, and it looks sleek. The black square tiles in arch patterns match the old and creepy style of the mansion itself.
We like the new addition to the attraction. It almost plays the role of a “Welcome” mat to the happy haunts home.
It’s not just added to the very front of the gate, but it extends past it over towards the exit. It kind of creates a new pathway for exiting riders. The color contrast between the black flooring and the red bricks just works so well for the mansion.
Maybe the happy haunts are making improvements to their home in preparation to impress their new neighbours (they don’t have to worry, their neighbours aren’t coming for a long time!). With a new Villains land coming to Magic Kingdom, the Haunted Mansion is going to look its best, and it’s scariest, to show everyone they’re still here.
Although little, this is the first of many construction updates to come to the Magic Kingdom. Changes will be made eventually to get ready to bring in both the Villains Land and Piston Peak, and we can’t wait!
