Some major changes are coming to Disney’s Animal Kingdom, and we’ve got the full guide!

With DinoLand, U.S.A. becoming the Tropical Americas and It’s Tough to Be a Bug getting replaced by a Zootopia show in the Tree of Life, the park is going to look pretty different in a couple of years! So, where is everything going? We’ve got the maps to show ya!
Tropical Americas
Starting out with the Tropical Americas land at large, this new area will be taking over the home of DinoLand, U.S.A. It looks like some of the attractions will also be spreading into backstage spaces a little bit.

As it stands, part of the land has already been closed and is under construction. The second half of DinoLand will be closing in 2026 to anticipate a 2027 opening for Tropical Americas.

We can’t wait to see the finer details of the layout as things start to come together.
Indiana Jones Ride
One of the new land’s biggest draws will be the Indiana Jones ride that’s replacing DINOSAUR. A large hacienda-style restaurant will be replacing Restaurantosaurus as well.

The new Indiana Jones ride will feature a different story from the one in Disneyland Park. Disney has said that the attraction will follow Indiana Jones when he “recently discovered a perfectly preserved Maya temple, and that can only mean one thing: it’s time to explore it. He’s heard rumors about a mythical creature deep within the temple — and he’s got to see it for himself. So, he brings us along on the adventure… but will there be snakes? We’ll just have to wait and see.”

The facade of the ride will feature a Mayan temple, and it will use the same ride system as DINOSAUR, although the theming is going to be a LOT different!
Encanto Ride
The other signature attraction in the land is the Encanto ride, where you actually get to enter Casita! The attraction will be located in the area that was formerly home to DinoRama.

Chester & Hester’s Dinosaur Treasures will also be replaced with a new gift shop themed to the new land. We can’t wait to check out the stunning atmosphere of Pueblo Esperanza!
Tropical Americas Carousel Ride
The land’s third ride is a carousel that’s “sculpted by a local woodcarver.” It seems to be replacing the spot that’s currently home to The Boneyard playground.

The carousel is said to feature prominent Disney characters as some of the animals that you can ride. How fun!
Zootopia: Better Zoogether!
Heading outside of this new land, there’s also a new show coming to the Tree of Life. Zootopia: Better Zoogether is taking over the old home of It’s Tough to Be a Bug.

The entrance to the show will likely be on the right side of the tree where the entrance to the old show was located. During the updates, some of the Discovery Island Trails are temporarily closed. This new show is set to open in the winter of 2025.

The park is going to be completely different in a few years, but until then, we’ll be dealing with a lot of construction!
