We Tried 6 (!!!) Menu Items at the NEW Oak and Star Tavern in Epic Universe

Today is a BIG day for us here at AllEars because we’ve got more and more MASSIVE Epic Universe news coming in with each passing minute!

Single-day tickets for the park are on sale now. We’ve gotten to see some of the new snacks coming to The Wizarding World of Harry Potter: Ministry of Magic, and we’ve gotten a look inside some of the new restaurants on their way, but now we’ve got BIG news. We’re getting a chance to be IN the park today and got a look at the FULL menu at Oak & Star Tavern!

Oak and Star Tavern is located in Celestial Park and is a quick-service dining location that specializes in barbeque options.

This spot offers a breakfast and lunch menu, and now we have an idea of exactly what’s on the menu at this spot! For breakfast, you’ll be able to grab:

• Traditional Southern
• Biscuits with Sausage Gravy & Eggs
• Brúlée Hawaiian Mango Bread
• Oak & Star Sausage, Egg, & Cheese Sandwich
• Chorizo & Eggs
• Ancient Grain Tofu Scramble

As for lunch, you’ll create a barbecue platter with one of their five meats and one of their eight sides, but Salads and Handhelds are also on the menu. There are also two desserts to choose from — Banana Pudding and Warm Sticky Cake. Draft Beer, Bottled and Canned Beer, and Wine are also available, along with a Coca-Cola Freestyle machine.

As we were here for a media event, we got to try a little bit of everything, and got a look at everything on the menu!

We had heard some really incredible things about the mango bread available, so you know we had to grab some!

Our mouths were watering at the sight of the pulled pork — just LOOK at it!

And the BBQ Jackfruit? Don’t get us started!

Don’t worry, there was plenty of barbecue sauce to go around for everyone — there won’t be a shortage of sauces here!

We grabbed some of the mac and cheese, the mango bread (HIGHLY RECOMMEND!), the brisket, AND both of the desserts. If you want a quick meal, this could be a great option! Note that our food was part of a sample plate, so the presentation might look a little different when you place an order at this restaurant.

They’re known for the brisket here, and there are several sauces to choose from, too. There’s a special soda here that you can get only at this location, though you’ll find it in the Coca-Cola Freestyle machine! It’s called the Celestial Spritz, and this is a must-try!

And just look at these desserts! We got a chance to try them both and were pretty impressed, so we really can’t say enough good things about this spot.

As for the atmosphere of this location, we’re also big fans! There are animals intricately displayed on the walls — it’s got a nature-inspired, cozy, tavern theme that is brought to life really well.

We think this will be a big hit and definitely one of the most popular quick-service locations in the park!

Epic Universe officially opens to the public on May 22nd, 2025, and we’re expecting it to be BUSY, so grab yourself those tickets ASAP!
