Disney’s Hollywood Studios is home to some amazing shows, including Beauty and the Beast — Live on Stage and Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular, but Disney just released some FUN details for one of the newest shows joining the lineup.
Beware: things are about to get spooky in Studios! *insert evil villains laugh*
After announcing an opening date of May 27th, Disney gave us a behind-the-scenes look at Disney Villains: Unfairly Ever After. The show is still under construction, but they took us inside to see what they’re working on.
Disney showed us how Imagineers started to hang the magic mirror, which looks huge! The theater isn’t too large, but it seems like every guest will be able to see things clearly.
The whole stage looks quite similar to the concept art with all of the hanging frames. We didn’t get to see it with the screens turned on, but we bet it’s going to look great!
Up close, we can see that each frame is unique. We wonder if they’re each inspired by a Disney villain!
Disney Villains: Unfairly Ever After will take the place of Lightning McQueen’s Racing Academy, which closed in October. With the new show opening in May, that’s about a seven-month turnaround. Pretty fast!
May 27th is going to be a big day for Hollywood Studios. Not only is this new villains show opening, but The Little Mermaid — A Musical Adventure is also opening on the same date. This is a reimagined version of Voyage of the Little Mermaid, which brings new songs and updated elements.
We still haven’t decided which one we’re going to run to first (and we’re not even going to talk about Epic Universe at Universal Florida opening on May 22nd), but we’re going to watch the shows and spill all the details. Keep following AllEars to be the first to know about everything Disney.
