On March 22nd, around 7:00 PM, smoke started to come from the World Showcase at EPCOT.

We were able to spot this fire from The BoardWalk, but it looked like it was behind the France Pavilion.

Smoke seen from BoardWalk

At this time, it’s not clear how this fire started, but Disney seems to have quickly put it under control based on the smoke pattern.

According to users on social media, most of the France Pavilion was evacuated, including restaurants and Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure.

From an X post from WSVN 7 News, it looks like the fire is in a backstage area to the left of Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure.

We can see guests being evacuated to backstage areas behind France and Morocco from the Skyliner from users on X.

According to WSVN 7 News, the fire has now been extinguished.

UPDATE: Fox 35 Orlando reported that the fire came from a walk-in cooler backstage. No one was hurt or injured.
