Not only did Disneyland Resort kick off its 2025 Lunar New Year Festival in Disney California Adventure Park, but they also debuted some new snacks around the parks!

Of course, we needed to stop by to try them out. We tried four of the new treats available, and we are taking you all along with us to taste test them!
Let’s kick off our snack tour in Disney California Adventure Park! Our first stop is Award Wieners to grab the Deep-fried Pineapple. You can get this snack for $7.99, and it is chocolate-dipped pineapple fried in corn dog batter.

We weren’t as impressed with this snack, but it isn’t all bad. The chocolate really dominates this one and it is hard to taste the pineapple at all. While the chocolate is heavy with a great sweetness, it just overpowers the rest of the treat,

We felt like we were eating a chocolate corn dog if it was missing the hot dog. It was a pretty messy treat, and we didn’t feel like it was worth the $7.99 price tag. However, the combination of chocolate and breading was tasty, just not something we would likely get again.

Moving on to Clarabelle’s Hand-Scooped Ice Cream to grab the PB&J Split. This snack costs $11.29 and has chocolate, strawberry, and vanilla ice cream, peanut butter sauce, hot fudge, strawberry topping, peanuts, whipped cream and waffle cone pieces.

This treat definitely has a lot going on, but it actually all works together really well. It is an explosion of flavor and has a bit of everything in it. We really enjoyed the fudge, and it works perfectly with the peanut butter sauce.

There was lots of strawberry too. It felt like chaos in the best way possible, you get some chocolate, some strawberry, some peanut butter, and some vanilla. And they all combine together to create a really tasty treat.

Next, we are headed over to Cozy Cone Motel 1 – Churros to try the new Key Lime Pie Churro. You can get this churro for $6.99, and it is a classic churro rolled in vanilla cookie sugar with key lime whipped topping.

The vanilla cookie is the most prominent flavor in this churro, even though it is supposed to be a key lime pie churro. The whipped topping was not our favorite either. It was artificial tasting and very tart. Plus, it had a very foamy texture that we didn’t like too much.

The churro itself is really tasty, and the vanilla cookie sugar is liberally applied and delicious. But we just didn’t like the topping. When the topping got more into the ridges versus being a glob on top, we did like it better, but it just wasn’t the flavor we were hoping for. You will definitely get a good sugar rush from this churro though!

Now let’s head over to Disneyland Park and make our way over to the Royal Street Veranda! We are grabbing the Snack-size Mardi Gras Monte Cristo for $11.49. This treat is a deep-fried Monte Cristo sandwich filled with ham, turkey, and Swiss cheese, dusted with Mardi Gras powdered sugar with a side of jam.

We are loving this Mardi Gras take on the classic Monte Cristo sandwich, and this one was super well done! The meats are delicious and tender, and the crunch on the sandwich is perfection.

The breading is crispy and light, and the powdered sugar is the finishing touch that brings it all together. It is a great blend of sweet and savory. Not to mention the jam is fantastic. While the sandwich is great on its own, the jam really does bring it to the next level. We are huge fans of this sandwich!

Our favorite snack we tried was definitely the Snack-size Mardi Gras Monte Cristo, we are still thinking about it! We also enjoyed the PB&J Split but would probably recommend skipping the Deep-fried Pineapple and Key Lime Pie Churro.

Thanks for joining us on a snack tour around Disneyland Resort to try some of the new treats. Make sure to stay tuned to AllEars for all your Disneyland news!
