A Popular Magic Kingdom Souvenir Experience Unexpectedly CLOSED

The TRON Identity Program located inside of Tomorrowland Launch Depot in Magic Kingdom is currently closed.

When we spoke with a Cast Member, they said it had been closed for about a week already. They weren’t sure what was being done to the experience and whether it was just getting work done or it would be permanently closed.

The TRON Identity Program is an experience where you can customize your own TRON-inspired action figure, also known as a Program. During the experience, you create an action figure that looks and sounds just like you. The process took about 20 minutes, and then about an hour later, you could retrieve your action figure.

The experience was an additional cost of $89.99 per action figure. We made our own action figure when the experience opened in 2023, and we enjoyed it. It is cheaper than other experiences like Savi’s Workshop or Droid Depot, and you get to take home an action figure of yourself! We will be interested to see if it reopens or if it will be closed permanently.

The TRON Identity Program joins numerous other attractions in Magic Kingdom that are temporarily closed or will be closing soon. Big Thunder Mountain closed on January 6th, 2025, and won’t be reopening until 2026. Astro Orbiter will be closing on January 13th and is expected to reopen in the summer of 2025. The Hall of Presidents will be closing on January 20th to be updated, and Disney hasn’t announced a reopening date yet.
