Planning your Disney World vacation in advance is essential, but even more so during the holidays and busier seasons!
So, you’ve been watching the crowds as of late, you’ve seen the wait times ebb and flow, and you’ve been track of how fast tickets are selling out. You may have just beat everyone to the punch over a very special date coming up!
We’re not surprised when we see certain dates for Disney World sell out of tickets at various times throughout the year, but it can be a little concerning when that happens months in advance!
Every year, hundreds of thousands of people flock to Disney World to spend their holidays, Christmas, and the rest of the year’s school vacation at the parks and hotels. Since these important dates of the year fall so closely together, there are tons of folks who figure it just as easy to extend that holiday through the new year.
As we were checking ticket sales through the end of the year, we noticed that a specific date MONTHS down the line is already sold out for one particular Disney World park. Magic Kingdom is currently the only Disney World park sold out of tickets for December 31st or New Year’s Eve.
While Magic Kingdom is certainly a popular choice of park on any given day, the fact that it’s riddled with DJ dance parties, and features an exclusive fireworks NYE countdown on Cinderella Castle makes this super appealing to visitors. It’s no surprise to us that this park WOULD sell out for this special date, it’s that this has happened before the holidays have even started that really makes our heads spin!
But not all hope is lost! If you’re looking to get in on the parting for New Year’s Eve inside Magic Kingdom, there’s still one group that’s able to make reservations to visit! If you’re a Disney World annual passholder at the Incredipass level (the highest tier without blockout dates) the AP calendar is still showing availability for this day.
But if you’re set on attending, we’d recommend making that park pass reservation soon because we’re not sure how much longer that will last now that day tickets are all sold out.
We’re always keeping up with the latest Disney announcements, news, and more! Be sure you’re following along with us at AllEars so you don’t miss a thing.
