There’s no better way to stay immersed in all that Disney magic than by staying on property, but hold onto your Mickey ears because not all hotels offer the tranquil sleep you might expect. So let’s talk about why you might want to think twice before booking your stay at certain Disney World hotels.

While the allure of staying on-site at Disney can be irresistible, some of the hotels come with a not-so-magical caveat: construction noise and/or rowdy guests. Here’s why you might want to think twice before booking your stay at certain Disney World hotels.
Construction Chaos
Picture this: You’re trying to catch up on some much-needed rest after a long day at the parks, only to be awakened by the sound of jackhammers and drills.

Unfortunately, this scenario is a reality for guests staying at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa and Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort.

To be fair, hotels that have construction will specify the hours when you might hear that noise and they limit it, so it typically won’t affect your sleep at night, but the noise can still seep into your precious nap time or disrupt your morning sleep-in.
All-Star Hotels and Sporting Events
Disney’s All-Star Resorts are magnets for sports teams and groups of teenagers descending upon Orlando for tournaments and competitions.

While these hotels offer budget-friendly accommodations, they also come with the downside of noisy corridors, boisterous gatherings, and late-night disturbances.

If you’re seeking a peaceful retreat, these hotels might not be the oasis of peace you had in mind.
Well, those are a couple of things to think about when planning your next trip. In the meantime, for more Disney World tips and news, keep following AllEars!

We recently stayed at the Polynesian Resort and had a lodge house nearest the construction. I was a bit nervous, but we never heard a peep. Don’t let the construction scare you away from the Polynesian. It was the nicest Disney hotel we have stayed at.
It has been a few years since we were there but we have found very quiet rooms at All-Star Sports and agree that Wilderness Lodge was very loud. Because rooms with doors facing the outside are hurricane proofed, they are actually much quieter as long as your neighbors aren’t going crazy or people running in from of your room. We have requested rooms facing away from the common areas and pool. Rooms at the back of the complex are very quiet from our experience.
Staying on Disney property yields many benefits..though with regards to construction, its up to the individual to scope through Disney information portals announcing things like construction..resort pool closures or when those nasty cheerleaders come to town totally clogging up the place.Keeping in mind that Disney promotes such events ($$$$) which inevitability causes chaos throughout WDW for the normal guest.
We just stayed a week at Wilderness Lodge and it was by far the nosiest room we ever got. It was all day, everyday. Much worst than any value or moderate resorts we ever stayed at.
