Disney World Park Pass Rules Change Tomorrow!

It’s January, which means it’s an all-new year in Disney World, and LOTS of things are about to change.

Magic Kingdom

We expect that price increases are on the way (what a shocker), and we’re all preparing for one of the biggest changes that’s happening  — that’s right, park pass rules change TOMORROW!

Park Passes were a way to monitor the crowd levels of the Disney World parks after they reopened after the COVID-19 closure in 2020. They required you to make a reservation for the specific Disney World park you were going to visit every day you went to Disney World. They stuck around for YEARS and are only just now going away — that day is tomorrow!

Park passes are going away for all date-based tickets for all the Disney World parks TOMORROW. That’s most tickets, unless you have an Annual Pass or you’ve got tickets for a big school or convention group that don’t have a specific date attached to them.

Getting ready to tap in

For Annual Passes however, Disney is introducing Good To Go days, which are days that Annual Passholders don’t need park passes. You can see these days listed in your My Disney Experience App. New dates will be added periodically and can be released days and weeks at a time.

Unless you’re visiting Magic Kingdom on a Saturday or Sunday, Passholders can also continue to visit the parks after 2PM without a Park Pass. And for all guests, park hopping is also going to be allowed at all hours of the day again (no longer only after 2PM) starting tomorrow as well.
