It’s OFFICIAL!
After months of waiting, weeks of previews, and even a soft opening — Journey of Water, Inspired by Moana is officially open in EPCOT! This new attraction explores the water cycle and from what we’ve seen, it’s been a big hit. If you’re wanting to visit this attraction soon, we have an update for you!
When Disney announced the attraction’s opening, they mentioned the possibility of a Virtual Queue similar to the one used during previews. Well, we are here to confirm that Disney is using a Virtual Queue today! The Virtual Queue is currently the only queue available for the attraction.
When we arrived, we saw that the virtual queue line was moving quickly and in an orderly fashion. It wasn’t even long or crowded! After the park had been open for only 45 minutes, 18 boarding groups had already been called. That’s pretty darn impressive, if you ask us.
According to some Cast Members that we chatted with previously, the Virtual Queue will only be used as needed, so this may not be the case during your visit. Keep checking the My Disney Experience ahead of and on the day of your visit to see what’s going on when you’re there.
You can also check out the Moana meet and greet that’s available right next to the attraction!
