Many newbies are surprised by the quality of the food that awaits in some of Disney’s restaurants, including several fine dining options. But it’s not just the theme park industry that brings good restaurants to Orlando — the city has been ranked as the top destination in the U.S. for foodies!

WalletHub has posted the list of best cities in 2023 for foodies, and this year, Orlando has topped the list. To determine the best (as well as the cheapest) foodie scenes, the company compared more than 180 U.S. cities across 28 key indicators.

The data set ranges from the cost of groceries to affordability and accessibility of high-quality restaurants to food festivals per capita. And if we had to guess, Disney World and Universal Orlando are definitely helping out on that last point!

Orlando topped the list with a total score of 69.38 and an affordability ranking of 108 (that’s on the lower end, but not surprising). For diversity, accessibility, and quality, the city ranked number three on the list, coming in only behind Miami and San Francisco.
