It’s almost time to ride TRON Lightcycle / Run!
This new coaster finally opens to the public on April 4th and we’ve been keeping up with all the details as they come out. We know that this ride will use a virtual queue, but if you’re not sure how to snag your spot when it’s time, not to worry — Disney has just revealed all the details!
Opening with a virtual queue means that there will be no standby line for the ride. To ride, you’ll either need to grab your spot in the virtual queue at 7AM or 1PM, or purchase a spot through the pay-per-ride system.
For the 7AM virtual queue drop, you’ll need to have a Park Pass reservation for Magic Kingdom, but you won’t need to be in the park to secure a spot. However, for the 1PM distribution, you’ll need to have already scanned into the park to try and join the queue.
In the past, we’ve seen a third virtual queue opportunity for guests with Extended Evening Hours access, and the same will be the case on select evenings at 6PM.
Keep in mind that you can only join the virtual queue once per day.
We’ll be keeping up with all the latest TRON news as it comes out, but for now, you can watch a ride-through and check out the cast member costumes we saw for the first time! As always, stay tuned to AllEars for all the latest Disney news.
