Disney’s Animal Kingdom is home to SO many amazing & unique experiences!
You can ride a banshee, have a close encounter with a yeti (when Expedition Everest is open again), and see so many amazing animals. But did you know you can learn to draw different Disney characters too?
At the Animation Experience, located in Rafiki’s Planet Watch at Conservation Station, Disney animators lead short, 25-minute classes that teach you how to sketch a beloved character.
Right now, in honor of Earth Day/ Earth Month (which takes place this month), the Animation Experience has CHANGED. At the moment, this experience is featuring a bunch of special characters for fans to draw to raise awareness for endangered species!
When we arrived, the 10:45AM class was learning to draw Shere Khan, but the 10:00AM class learned to draw Bruce.
During our visit, the other characters on the schedule (according to information that a kind Cast Member shared with us) were Crush, Simba, Terk, Dumbo, and Heimlich, but schedules are subject to change so you never know who you might end up drawing!
Because the Animation Experience is located in Rafiki’s Planet Watch, you’ll have to board the Wildlife Express Train to get to that section of the park. Be sure to leave PLENTY of time to get there!
Things are changing in the parks constantly, so be sure to stick with AllEars to stay in the know. Check back with us for all the latest Disney news!
