Disney World’s 50th Anniversary is coming up quick, with the celebration starting on October 1st!
We’ve seen lots of decorations in the parks, including golden character statues, banners, and character topiaries. Today, we spotted a big change at Cinderella Castle in preparation for the 50th!
Cinderella Castle has some new 50th Anniversary banners hanging on the turrets on either side.

Some of the sparkling, EARidescent banners feature artist Mary Blair’s artwork from the story of Cinderella…
…and others just have pretty designs around the “50” logo.
There are banners on both sides of the Castle, and the ones with images from Cinderella have different Mary Blair concept art on either side.
On the left side, there are pictures of Cinderella’s carriage, Prince Charming racing after her, the King in his throne room, and the castle.
On the right, you’ll see more artwork from Cinderella, including her at the ball, racing through the gardens…
…Cinderella and Prince Charming together, and the Fairy Godmother working her magic.
We love the artistic images from a classic Disney princess story! There certainly is a LOT happening at Cinderella Castle right now with the decor. Are you a fan of the decorations, or do you think it’s too much? We’re curious to hear your thoughts!

With the significant increase in park tickets and transition to “pay for” Lightning Passes, I should hope that Disney has money for banners. They clearly aren’t spending it on cast member salaries.
