Depending on when you’re visiting Disney World, you can find yourself faced with quite a few crowds and long lines in the parks.
While the “busier” times tend to be around holidays, weekends, and throughout the summer, you never really know what kind of crowd levels you’re going to face on your trip. And, we just may have found the BEST time to visit Disney’s Animal Kingdom (well, this year at least)!
A few weeks ago, we brought you a look at the very LOW crowd levels in Disney’s Animal Kingdom. The walking paths were clear and wait times for popular attractions were lower than we had seen in quite some time. But, this week we’ve seen even LOWER crowds at the park.
Today, all of the rides at Animal Kingdom had a 10-minute wait or less — we’re not kidding! Whether you wanted to hop on Kilimanjaro Safaris, Na’vi River Journey, Flight of Passage…
…Expedition Everest, or really anything else, you were able to basically walk on the attraction.
So, we took the opportunity to ride on Flight of Passage! A Cast Member shared with us that the wait time is listed as 10 minutes only because that’s how long it takes for guests to walk through the line and to have the boarding doors open, so we walked right on.
And, once it was over, we asked the Cast Member if we could ride it again without having to exit the line and re-enter and they said yes! This is something that we were also able to do yesterday when we visited the park, and the Cast Member shared that it’s because things have been very slow this week crowd-wise.
This won’t always be possible, but on slower days, you certainly can ask.

This is true, we are staying at shades of green and were at animal kingdom on aug 31st and we rode flight of passage and it was truly a walk-on.
I’ve been at DAK with Flight of passage being of a 70 minute to 150 minute wait. It was truly amazing and it was my mothers first time on that attraction and she had amazing experience with the wait time and the attraction itself. All in all it is an amazing time to be at Disney world as a whole.
My family and I went on Sunday, and it was practically empty.
