VIDEO: Disney World Tested NEW Fireworks in Magic Kingdom Yesterday!

We’re only a month away from the beginning of the Walt Disney World 50th Anniversary!

Beginning October 1st, all four parks will feature specialty experiences like a brand new daytime show at Disney’s Animal Kingdom, new projections and lights on all the park icons, and even Mickey and his pals will be decked out for the occasion during a new cavalcade in Magic Kingdom. But, that’s not all — Magic Kingdom is also getting a NEW fireworks show and last night select guests got to see a preview!

Yesterday, Disney posted a notification on their Facebook stating that they would be testing fireworks around Magic Kingdom from 10:30PM to 1:00AM on both August 30th and September 1st. And, thanks to our reader Taste of New England on Instagram (@tasteofmassachusetts), we got a peek at the testing from Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort!

The testing is likely in anticipation of the nighttime fireworks show set to begin on October 1st, Disney Enchantment. It will replace Happily Ever After and will feature a new original song, new lighting on the castle, and even projections that span all the way from Cinderella Castle down Main Street, U.S.A.
