NEWS: Tropical Storm Erin Strengthens Into Hurricane

We have made it through this season unscathed so far, but Tropical Storm Erin is on the horizon. The National Hurricane Center has been monitoring multiple storms over the last few weeks, and now it seems that Erin is expected to worsen.

According to the National Hurricane Center, Tropical Storm Erin has become Hurricane Erin. The NHC has officially issued an advisory for the Atlantic because of the hurricane.

Currently, Erin is forecasted to grow into a Category 4 Hurricane. At the time of writing, Erin is located several hundred miles east of the northern Leeward Islands. Heavy rainfall is expected, which could lead to urban and flash flooding in the U.S. Virgin Islands, the Leeward Islands, and Puerto Rico.

At the time of writing, the NHC is unsure of what this storm could do to the Bahamas, the east coast of the United States, and Bermuda next week. However, it’s important to anticipate heavier rain while packing for your Disney World vacation!
