Leading up to the Walt Disney World 50th Anniversary celebrations, we’ve seen quite a few construction projects going on around the parks and resorts.
Recently, Disney opened their refurbished rooms at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort, debuted the final decoration on Cinderella Castle in Magic Kingdom, and spruced up the signage at the Transportation and Ticket Center. And, today we spotted another new project going on at one of Disney World’s most expensive resorts!
We took a break from the crowds in EPCOT to stop by Disney’s Yacht Club and noticed that there was some new work being done on the exterior of the building.
Scaffolding had been added to the rooms near the entrance of the hotel from Disney’s BoardWalk, and the construction was even blocking off some of the walkways (though there was still a clear path to enter).
But, that wasn’t the only area that we spotted some scaffolding, crews were also working on another portion of the hotel.
We spoke with a Cast Member who believed that the work is routine maintenance on guest room balconies and the exterior of the hotel. Of course, we’ll continue to keep an eye out for more information and share the latest updates with you, so be sure to stay tuned to AllEars!
