How to Stay at the Most Expensive Disney World Hotels for LESS

Walt Disney World Resort hotels can be expensive. Luckily, there are different price points to fit different budgets! Disney’s Value, Moderate, and Deluxe resorts all offer various amenities and benefits that coordinate with their price tags.

Disney’s Wilderness Lodge

But what if you want to stay at one of those more expensive hotels? Believe it or not, there are some ways to save!

We’re breaking down the BEST ways to save big on some of those super nice hotel rooms.

Disney Vacation Club Rentals

The Disney Vacation Club is a fantastic way to stay at Disney hotels. DVC hotels are in the Deluxe tier, making them some of the priciest rooms available — but you don’t even need to be a member to save.

Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort

Here’s how it works: DVC members pay an annual fee based on how many points they’re allotted. Then, they use these points to reserve rooms for upcoming trips! It’s just like how you would book a hotel room, but they use those points instead of cash.

Disney’s Riviera Resort

DVC members who are unable to use their points before they expire can rent points out to non-members. We recommend David’s Vacation Club Rentals if you want to try your hand at renting points — and you’re definitely going to want to try your hand.

David’s DVC Rentals

These DVC rooms are very expensive when paid for in cash, but if you pay in points, you can save hundreds of dollars. In some cases, it may not be much more expensive to rent points at a DVC resort than it is to book a Value Resort! We’ve got a full guide right here on renting points through David’s Vacation Club Rentals!

Look for Discounts

You’ll rarely have to pay full-price on a Disney hotel room. At any given time, Disney may be running a promotion that allows you to save big on your room.

Disney’s BoardWalk Inn

Right now, you can save up to 25% at Deluxe Resorts, 20% at Moderate Resorts, and 10% at the Campsites at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort. Value Resort savings vary from 10%-20%, depending on the specific resort. This offer is valid for stays from July 11 to September 29, 2021 — so it’s perfect for trips later in the year!

Old Key West Entrance

Florida residents, Annual Passholders, and military members may also qualify for special discounts. Make sure you check Disney World’s website for offers like this any time you go to book a room. This is one of the easiest ways to save!

Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa

And if an offer becomes available after you make your reservation, no worries! You can usually call Disney to rebook with that discount.

Visit During Slow Season

Disney World’s hotel prices fluctuate based on demand. That means how much you spend on a room could really vary, depending on what time of year you’re visiting!

Disney’s Yacht Club Resort

If you want to stay in a more expensive hotel, you can offset that cost by planning your trip for a slower time of year. Rates will be lower! Some of the best times to visit are late January to early February and spring and fall dates with no holidays. Prices will be highest in the summer and around the holidays — think Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas.

Disney’s Contemporary Resort

When you visit can actually make a huge difference on how much you spend. Not to mention, you’ll also experience lower crowds and shorter wait times in the parks (plus cheaper tickets) during slow seasons! For all your Disney planning needs, we recommend Mouse Fan Travel.

  1. Have reservations for the Caribbean Beach resort and then a split for 2 nights at the newly reopened rooms in Animal Kingdom Lodge, Nov/Dec weeks. Waiting to hear if any discounts come up. Fingers crossed.
